Genuine and caring therapist

She truly cares about you and genuinely wants you to do well. She is smart and fun. I love her eye opening metaphors which help me see things in a whole different way; they are very helpful in making sense of situations and putting things in perspective.

Knowledgable and Kind Therapist

I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, and going into my first year at college, I knew I wanted to be able to meet consistently with a therapist to help me manage the transition to college and deal with my anxiety. After searching online and trying another therapist that didn't work out, I found Serap and she helped me through the ups and downs of college the rest of the school year. She knew so much about anxiety and mental health and was also very personable and listened well. She taught me multiple useful skills and strategies to deal with my anxiety that helped my emotional well-being, and were new to me, despite having gone to other therapists for several years. She was a friend to me, as well as a therapist, and I am grateful I found her.

"The hallmark of Serap's practice is her unwavering dedication."

Serap has been instrumental in my personal growth and well-being. As someone who has consulted various psychologists over the years, I can confidently say that Serap stands out. Her keen insights and empathetic approach have guided me through intricate challenges in my relationships, career, and mental health. As a Hispanic individual, married to a Brazilian immigrant and pursuing graduate studies, I especially appreciate Serap's deep understanding of culturally sensitive topics. I believe her expertise is shaped not just by her immigrant background but also by her active role in the NGO "17 Healers," which she founded to support the diverse community in the Cambridge/Boston area. Beyond her professional acumen, Serap exudes genuine care and passion for her clients, a refreshing contrast to the transactional feel I've encountered elsewhere. The hallmark of Serap's practice, however, is her unwavering dedication to her clients' welfare, reflected in her consistent and invaluable support throughout my journey. For those in search of a psychologist truly invested in their clients' well-being, look no further than Serap!

"Serap draws on a range of techniques to help manage my anxiety, depression, and ADHD"

Serap is an excellent therapist. I have been seeing her for close to a year now, and every time I visit her, I leave feeling calmer and more empowered. Serap draws on a range of techniques to help manage my anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and she is always willing to explain the reasoning and evidence to support her practices. She emphasizes the roles of mindfulness and positive thinking in managing stress. Many times, this includes reconnecting with and monitoring the body, imagining safe/happy spaces, using positive self-talk, and connecting with others. Serap is extremely supportive, caring, and generous. She is enthusiastic and joyful; she often shares suggestions about fun activities and places to see. I would recommend Serap to any friend!
